For Christmas Day around Fareham, the lowest published price is £44.99 at the Red Lion in Portchester. Most pub lunches cost £58 to £78, including the Fishermans Rest in Titchfield and the Rising Sun in Warsash. The King’s Head in Wickham charges £99, and the Solent Hotel at Whiteley £130 for five courses. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Fareham town

1. The Red Lion Hotel, East Street

The Red Lion Hotel is the Greene King hotel and pub on East Street in Fareham. Its Christmas Day menu is three courses for £89.95.

Starters include hot smoked salmon and prawn cocktail, a Croxton Manor cheese soufflé and chicken liver and brandy pâté. Mains run from hand-carved roast turkey with duck fat roast potatoes and a pig in blanket to 10-hour slow-cooked beef cheeks and a Cheddar and leek tart.

The children’s Christmas Day menu is three courses for £34.95. The menu PDF says an optional 10% service charge applies to parties of eight or more.

2. The Buccaneer, The Avenue

The Buccaneer is the Harvester on The Avenue (the A27), west of the town centre towards Titchfield. Its Christmas Day menu for 2026 costs £74.99 per adult and starts with bubble and squeak bon bons with sprouts and bacon, a festive seafood trio or root vegetable soup.

Mains include hand-carved turkey, a steak and rib combo, a festive pork tomahawk with Christmas hash, salmon, and a vegan mushroom suet pudding. Christmas Day bookings need a £10 deposit a head whatever the size of the party, with full payment and pre-orders due by 1 December.

Portchester

3. The Red Lion, West Street

The Red Lion is the Greene King pub at 1 West Street in Portchester. It has the lowest Christmas Day price on this list.

The pub’s page describes “four delicious courses for £44.99”, while the downloadable 2026 menu says three courses at £44.99, so ask which applies when you book. The children’s Christmas Day menu is three courses for £22.99.

The menu leans on the classics: turkey with pigs in blankets, Brie wedges with cranberry, and king prawns in Marie Rose sauce, with meat-free choices.

The Seagull is the Hungry Horse pub on Cornaway Lane in Portchester. Its Christmas Day lunch is three courses for £57.99 per adult and £22.99 for children.

6. The Red Lion, Stubbington

The Red Lion is the Greene King pub on Gosport Road in Stubbington. It serves the same three-course Christmas Day menu as the Fishermans Rest, at a lower price: £63.

That means the same choice of smoked salmon, Cheddar soufflé, pâté or soup to start, and turkey, the salmon and prawn duo, the nut roast or the sirloin with prawns for the main course. A children’s Christmas Day menu covers chicken strips, roast turkey and a smaller pudding.

7. The Rising Sun, Warsash

9. The Solent Hotel and Spa, Whiteley

The Solent Hotel is the hotel and spa on Rookery Avenue, Whiteley. Its Christmas Day lunch is served in the Hambledon Suite: five courses and, in the hotel’s words, “a magical visit from Santa”.

It costs £130 per adult and £70 for children aged 4 to 12, the highest price on this list. Bookings go through the events team by phone or email, and the hotel’s Christmas terms and conditions apply.

10. The King’s Head, Wickham

The King’s Head is the pub on The Square in Wickham. Its Christmas Day menu is £99 per person and starts with a glass of English sparkling wine and canapés.

Starters include prawn and queen scallop ravioli, chicken liver parfait with black cherry, and a heritage beetroot salad with Somerset goat’s curd. Mains are British turkey breast with pigs in blankets and apricot stuffing, Cornish hake with a tiger prawn, fillet of British beef with a braised beef pie, or a wild mushroom and celeriac pithivier.
